Motion Blur Motorcycles

I was interested to learn in class today about how to use Shutter Priority mode to create motion blur and stop motion images. I tried it myself after class, using the technique for my subject this term, SE Asian youth culture – with a focus on one specific aspect of SE Asian youth life: the motorcycle.

I created this image with a tripod and a shutter speed of 1/4.

Same technique as above.

This used a similar technique to the images above, but with a slightly faster shutter speed of 1/16.

For the above two images I experimented by using a slow shutter speed but a panning technique with the camera.
